My body is sacred.


Most people in Corinth felt that sexual immorality was acceptable and that their bodies were made primarily for pleasure. In other words, Corinth was not that different from the world today.

 1 Corinthians 6:13–20
13 Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for afornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.
13 భోజనపదార్థములు కడుపునకును కడుపు భోజనపదార్థములకును నియమింపబడి యున్నవి; దేవుడు దానిని వాటిని నాశనము చేయును. దేహము జారత్వము నిమిత్తము కాదు గాని, ప్రభువు నిమిత్తమే; ప్రభువు దేహము నిమిత్తమే.
14 And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also araise up us by his own power.14 దేవుడు ప్రభువును లేపెను; మనలను కూడ తన శక్తివలన లేపును. 
15 Know ye not that your bodies are the amembers of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.15 మీ దేహములు క్రీస్తునకు అవయవములై యున్నవని మీరెరుగరా? నేను క్రీస్తుయొక్క అవయవములను తీసికొని వేశ్యయొక్క అవయవ ములుగా చేయుదునా? అదెంతమాత్రమును తగదు.
16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be aone flesh.16 వేశ్యతో కలిసికొనువాడు దానితో ఏకదేహమై యున్నాడని మీరెరుగరా? వారిద్దరు ఏకశరీరమై యుందురు అని మోషే చెప్పుచున్నాడు గదా? 
17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is aone spirit.
17 అటువలె ప్రభువుతో కలిసికొనువాడు ఆయనతో ఏకాత్మయై యున్నాడు.

18.Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.

18 జారత్వమునకు దూరముగా పారిపోవుడి. మనుష్యుడు చేయు ప్రతి పాపమును దేహమునకు వెలుపల ఉన్నది గాని జారత్వము చేయువాడు తన సొంత శరీర మునకు హానికరముగా పాపము చేయుచున్నాడు.
19 What? know ye not that your abody is the btemple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your cown?
19 మీ దేహము దేవునివలన మీకు అనుగ్రహింపబడి, మీలోనున్న పరిశుద్ధాత్మకు ఆలయమై యున్నదని మీరెరుగరా? మీరు మీ సొత్తు కారు,
20 For ye are abought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.

Why did Paul write about head coverings and hairstyles?

Paul referred to cultural customs of dress and grooming in order to teach about the relationships between men, women, and the Lord. While we do not follow these customs today, we can still learn from Paul’s declaration in 1 Corinthians 11:11 that men and women are both needed in the Lord’s plan, both in marriage and in the Church.  1 Corinthians 11:11 11 Nevertheless neither is the man  without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord. 11  అయితే ప్రభువునందు స్త్రీకి వేరుగా పురుషుడు లేడు పురుషునికి వేరుగా స్త్రీలేదు.  --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As Elder David A. Did Paul teach that it is better to be unmarried than married?

Several verses in  1 Corinthians 7  seem to suggest that while marriage is acceptable, remaining single and abstaining completely from sexual relations is preferred. However,  Joseph Smith Translation, 1 Corinthians 7:29–33  (see Bible appendix) helps us understand that Paul was referring to those called to be full-time missionaries, observing that they were able to serve God better if they remained single during their missions.  The Lord has taught through His servants, including Paul, that marriage is part of His eternal plan and necessary for exaltation (see  1 Corinthians 11:11 ;  D&C 131:1–4 ). 1 Corinthians 11:11 11  Nevertheless neither is the  man  without the woman, neither the  woman  without the man, in the Lord.
